East of the Nile, West of the Nile
In Luxor we talk East Bank and West Bank. This means either the east or the west side of the River Nile.
The East Bank was where the Ancients did the Living and West Bank was considered for the dying.
So on the East Bank which is Metropolis, is the two famous temples, Karnak Temple and Temple of Luxor.
On the West Bank are where all the tombs are, like the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens and the Tombs of the Nobles. But this is not all, on the West Bank is also all the mortuary temples.
So, we want to keep things simple, so, to help you as a first timer, let's list a few things...
